1. What determines if my citation is payable or whether I must appear in Court?

The State Court Judge of Glynn County determines whether a citation or warrant requires a Court appearance. Generally, the more serious charges are required to be disposed by a court appearance.

2. How soon after receiving my citation can I find out the amount of the fine?

It takes approximately 10 working days from the date a citation is issued before it is received and processed in the Clerk’s office.  There will be no bond information available until the citation has been processed.

3. How long do I have to pay my bond on a Speeding (40-6-181) citation?

You must pay your bond prior to your scheduled court date or appear in court.

4. If I am unable to pay a bond on a citation, what does that mean?

You must appear in court if you can not pay. Failure to pay your bond or appear in court will result in your license being suspended. You must come to court and the Judge will decide what can be done in your case.

5. What are the hours of the office?

Clerk’s office is open to accept payment from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
