ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMAN

 

A motion was made by Commissioner Strickland to appoint Commissioner Dale Provenzano to serve as Chairman for the year 2015. The motion 6-1 with Commissioner Stambaugh opposed.

 

A motion was made by Commissioner Browning to appoint Commissioner Richard Strickland to serve as Vice Chairman for the year 2015. The motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Commissioner Strickland and seconded by Commissioner Booker to add item 7 to the published agenda. The motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Commissioner Strickland and seconded by Commissioner Coleman to ratify the appointments nominated by Chairman Provenzano. The motion carried unanimously.

 

2.         Consider appointing the following citizens to serve on the Mainland Planning Commission as nominated by the respective County Commissioners.

            A motion was made by Commissioner Strickland and seconded by Commissioner Stambaugh to approve the appointments. The motion carried unanimously.

 

3.         Consider appointing the following citizens to serve on the Islands Planning Commission as nominated by the respective County Commissioners.

            A motion was made by Commissioner Strickland and seconded by Commissioner Coleman to approve the appointments. The motion carried unanimously.

 

CONSENT AGENDA – General Business

 

4.         Approved the minutes of the special called meeting held December 18, 2014, and the minutes of the regular meeting held December 18, 2014, subject to any necessary corrections.  (C. Overstreet)

 

5.         Approved the nomination of Jeff Homans to serve the unexpired term of Bill Brunson as the District 2 appointment on the Mainland Planning Commission. The term begins immediately and ends December 31, 2016. (D. Provenzano)

 

6.         Approved the nomination of Karen Ward to serve the unexpired term of Oliver Seabolt as the At-Large Post 1 appointment on the Islands Planning Commission. The term begins immediately and ends December 31, 2016. (B. Coleman)

 

7.         Approved waiving the $400 Selden Park gym rental fee and allow Diane Reed to use the gym free of charge for a Save the Youth Community Appreciation Program. (A. Booker) REPORT

 

A motion was made by Commissioner Strickland and seconded by Commissioner Coleman to approve all items on the consent agenda. The motion carried unanimously.

 

GENERAL BUSINESS – No General Business items.

 

EXECUTIVE SESSION/POST EXECUTIVE SESSION ACTION

 

The Board did not hold an executive session during this meeting.
