Discussion and consideration of the following:

A motion was made by Commissioner Strickland and seconded by Commissioner Coleman to add agenda item 5 to the published agenda. The motion carried unanimously.

1.         Trap Neuter and Release Program (Humane Society)

Troy Salsbury with the Humane Society provided information regarding a proposed TNR program in Glynn County. He said the County’s current ordinance allows TNR, but he and the volunteers wanted to make the Commission aware of their intentions to begin the program on a larger scale. He said the feral cats would be trapped, neutered, and returned to the colony. He hoped this would eventually reduce the number of feral cats in Glynn County.

This item was not discussed at this meeting.

3.         Hydric Soils

This item was not discussed at this meeting.

4.         Fort Frederica

Chief Appraiser Ron Glisson briefed the Board on property exemptions. He said the exemptions for 2014 totaled $2,925,602,355. This included state and local exemptions as well as other exempt properties.

5.         Hospital Authority

County Attorney Aaron Mumford and Christy Jordan, VP and General Counsel of the Southeast Georgia Health System provided an update on the deed restrictions, lease, intergovernmental agreement, and restructure plan for the hospital. The deed and intergovernmental agreement were placed on the Board’s September 18, 2014, meeting agenda and was approved.
