GENERAL BUSINESS



1. Board of Commissioners to consider the removal of the County Board of Tax Assessors.

Motion by Commissioner Gunn, second by Commissioner Lyde to adjourn to Executive Session for discussion of personnel matter. Vote 6 to 1 with Commissioner Tullos abstaining.



Back in regular session.



Motion by Commissioner Tullos, seconded by Commissioner Strickland, based on everything he has heard, we remove the remaining 3 Assessors from the Board and proceed to replace them in office. Namely Ms. Tommye Cashin, Ms. Marjorie Jaudon, and Mr. Gene Leggett. Vote 5 to 2 with Commissioners Gunn and Miller Opposed.



Motion by Commissioner Strickland, seconded by Commissioner Tullos, the Board direct the County Attorney to take all steps necessary, and in his opinion, legally possible and practical to insure this removal we have voted for takes place. Part of this motion is the authority to spend up to $100 from the Commissioners Discretionary Account. Vote 5 to 2 with Commissioners Gunn and Miller opposed.



2. Consider appointments for vacancies on the Board of Tax Assessors.



Motion by Commissioner Lyde, seconded by Commissioner Lynn to defer appointments for vacancies on the Board of Tax Assessors to the Tuesday, December 19, 1995 meeting. Unanimous.



3. Consider adoption of Resolution providing for the tax of the money to pay the recently enacted $18 million School Bond Fund.



Motion by Commissioner Miller, seconded by Commissioner Strickland, to approve resolution providing for the tax of the money to pay the recently enacted $18 million School Bond Fund. Unanimous. (Commissioner Lyde was out of the room).



4. Request authorization for Chairman to sign Right of Entry for Haynor Road bridge project.



Motion by Commissioner Lynn, seconded by Commissioner Strickland, authorizing Chairman to sign Right of Entry for to assist Camden County with the Haynor Road bridge project. The monetary source for the Glynn County portion to come from SPLOST, not to exceed $3700. Unanimous. (Commissioner Lyde was out of the room).



Motion by Commissioner Lynn, seconded by Commissioner Strickland, to add to the agenda discussion of pending litigation. Unanimous. (Commissioner Lyde was out of the room).



Motion by Commissioner Lynn, seconded by Commissioner Strickland, to adjourn to Executive Session for the purpose of discussing pending litigation, and will not return to open session. Unanimous. (Commissioner Lyde was out of the room).
