PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
REVIEW OF PROPOSED FY 97 BUDGET
Mr. Gilmour distributed a report of the current FY 97 Budget Status. Discussion ensued and the following actions were taken:
Motion by Commissioner Hardman to increase the Community Development budget by $10,000, to be set aside until determination is made whether or not this will be needed; and to not make the switch of the Executive Assistant and to do an immediate and thorough study of restructuring the code enforcement staff. Motion seconded by Commissioner Gunn. Motion passed 6-0-1, Commissioner Strickland abstained.
Motion by Commissioner Strickland to honor the request of a need in the Probate Court, seconded for discussion purposes. Motion failed 2-5, Commissioner Strickland and Commissioner Lynn voting in favor of motion.
Motion by Commissioner Hardman to add a Plan Reviewer position to the Building Inspection Department, because it's covered by the fees. Motion seconded by Commissioner Miller. Motion passed 4-3, Commissioners Tullos, Lynn and Lyde opposed.
ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE TO AMEND CODE
Adoption of Ordinance to Amend Code to provide for placement of notices, per FEMA's request.
Motion to approve by Commissioner Gunn, seconded by Commissioner Tullos. Unanimously approved.
AUTHORIZATION TO USE COUNTY PROPERTY
Authorize FOCUS to use Kings Park, St. Simons Island, on August 10, 1996.
Motion to approve by Commissioner Hardman, seconded by Commissioner Miller. Unanimously approved, Commissioner Gunn had to leave the Meeting before this vote taken.
Motion by Commissioner Lyde to adjourn, seconded by Commissioner Tullos. Unanimously approved.
