INVOCATION & PLEDGE
1. Consideration of HB 489 recommendation.
Discussion only. No Board action required
nor taken at this time.
Consideration of establishing a Joint Public
Safety Communications Department.
After brief discussion motion by Chairperson
Robertson, seconded by Commissioner Williams of the City of Brunswick,
directing both the City and County Managers take the information presented
regarding the proposal to establish a joint Public Safety Communications
Department and further develop aspects of the proposal and bring their
recommendations back to the commissioners jointly for consideration. Motion carries with a vote of 6-0 with
Commissioner Dowdy absent. The City
Commissioner participated in the voting process.
3. Consideration of water rates in the unincorporated areas of the County.
After brief discussion the City Commission directed their water & sewer director and staff to take an in depth look at the differences in the water & sewer rates between the City and County and come up with justification relative to the difference. No action required nor taken by the Glynn County Board of Commissioners at this time.
The next joint meeting will be April 6, 1999 at 5:00 pm to be hosted by Glynn County.
Motion to adjourn by Commissioner Jennings, seconded by Commissioner Lawrence. Unanimously approved. The Glynn County Board of Commissioners participated in the voting process.
