The Glynn County Board of Appeals is created pursuant to Article X of the Zoning Ordinance and has limited defined duties, including:
- Consider the granting of variances to specific provisions of the Zoning Ordinance in cases that meet very strict standards (Section 10005 of the Zoning Ordinance)
- Consider appeals from administrative decisions made by staff (Section 1005.1 of the Zoning Ordinance)
The Board of Appeals is composed of five members appointed by the Board of Commissioners to four-year terms.
The Board of Appeals meets when needed on the second Thursday of each month at 10 AM in the Board of Commissioners Meeting Room at the Glynn County Historic Courthouse, 701 “G” Street, in Brunswick. Meetings are not shown on Cable TV at this time.
