- Kings Park dedicated Pickleball courts - Monday-Saturday 7:30am-10:30am and Tuesdays & Thursdays 2pm-4pm
- North Glynn - Mondays, Wednesdays, & Saturdays 8am-12pm and Tuesdays 6pm-9pm
Pickleball Etiquette and Rules for Dedicated Pickleball Courts:
Rotational Open Play Rules (in effect any time when courts are full and players are waiting to play)
- Waiting players should use the Paddle Stacking System to establish an orderly queue
- Players play one game to 11, win by 2, then yield court to the next group of 4 players waiting in line
- Play will be limited to groups of four (4 on / 4 off)
- No singles play, individual practice, or lessons when players are waiting
- No moving of another player's paddle is permitted without permission from that player
- Courts are available on a first come first serve basis except as scheduled for events approved by Glynn County
- Failure to adhere to etiquette, rules, and court usage schedule may result in removal from the park by County personnel
Pickleball Courts
St. Simons Island:
- Kings Park (602 Mallery Street) - 4 dedicated Pickleball courts (open dawn to dusk)
- Kings Park (602 Mallery Street) - 2 lighted dual-striped courts (Pickleball/tennis)
- Court Usage Scheduel for Kings Park dual-striped courts:
* Pickleball: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 7:30am to 10:30am
* Tennis: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:30am to 10:30am
Mainland: Dual-striped courts (Pickleball and tennis) are located at the following parks:
- Baldwin Brookman Park (11 Calvin Waye Lane, Brunswick) - 2 lighted courts
- Blythe Island Ball Park (601 Blythe Island Drive)- 2 lighted courts
- Howard Coffin Park (1402 Sonny Miller Way) - 4 courts
- North Glynn Recreation Complex (622 Harry Driggers Boulevard)* - 2 lighted courts
- Northwood Estates (207 Oak Road) - 2 courts
- Selden Park (100 Genoa Martin Drive) - 2 lighted courts
*Four North Glynn tennis courts will be converted to 12 Pickleball courts in November/December.
Tennis
Glynn County Recreation and Parks Department (GCRPD) offers a variety of tennis programs including weekly lessons and camps, Click here to view a full listing of current offerings.
St. Simons Island: GCRPD has eight (8) dedicated tennis courts at Epworth Park.(108 Lady Huntington Drive). These courts are first come first serve except as scheduled for programs and/or events approved by GCRPD. Two dual-striped courts (Tennis/Pickleball) are available at Kings Park (602 Mallery Street). Designated Tennis day/times are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:30am-10:30am.
Mainland: GCRPD provides two (2) dedicated tennis courts at North Glynn Recreation Complex (622 Harry Driggers Boulevard). These courts are lighted for evening play and have Junior Tennis lines on them. There are 2 dual-striped (tennis/Pickleball) courts at North Glynn. GCRPD offers twelve (12) additional dual-striped courts on the mainland (see list above).
Court Rules
- Appropriate court etiquette and attire are required at all times
- Pickleball etiquette and rules apply to dedicated Pickleball courts
- As a courtesy to those waiting on dual-striped courts, players are asked to limit walk-up play to one (1) hour
- Courts are available for walk-up play on a first come first serve basis except as scheduled for programs, events and local league play by the County
- Amplified music is not permitted without prior approval of the County
- Commercial activities are not permitted on the courts
- Unauthorized instruction is not allowed
- Bicycles, in-line skates, roller skates, and skateboards are not permitted on the courts
- Only service animals are allowed on the courts
- Glass containers are prohibited
- Alcohol is strictly prohibited per County Ordinance
- Players with ball hoppers or personal ball machines must keep their balls confined to their court
- Failure to adhere to park rules may result in immediate removal from the park by County personnel
