Notice of Statewide Risk Limiting Audit and Recount of the November 3, 2020 General Election Results:
A Risk Limiting Audit of the November 3, 2020 results will be held and is to be completed by November 18, 2020. This will be a full, hand recount of every ballot cast statewide. The recount will be conducted by Board members, party-appointed representatives, poll workers, and office staff. We expect to receive full instructions on November 12, 2020 and begin the recount on November 13. We are still receiving information from the Secretary of State's office and updates will be posted here as they arrive.
There will be one, combined runoff. The Statewide runoff planned for December 1 has been combined into the January 5 Federal runoff. Absentee ballot mailing will begin after November 20th. Early voting will begin December 14 at all 3 locations. Early Voting will not be open on county holidays (Christmas, New Years Day). There will not be extended voting hours on Monday and there will not be Saturday voting. The last day to Early Vote or request an absentee ballot will be December 31. The voter registration deadline for the runoff is December 7. Absentee ballots are due in our office by 7pm on January 5, 2021. All county drop boxes will reopen once absentee mailing begins.
