Covid19 Elections AlertIn response to the COVID-19 emergency, the Secretary of State’s office is taking extraordinary steps to protect the safety of our voters and poll workers.  All active, registered voters will be mailed an absentee ballot request for the May 19 General Primary, Non Partisan Election, and Combined Presidential Preference Primary.  These will be mailed to your current registered mailing address.  The pre-filled applications will be marked as official mail from the State.  Verify your information, complete the application, and sign it.  Check any boxes which may apply to you.  Please be sure to mark the party ballot you wish to receive.   Additional contact information (phone/email) is optional, but encouraged.  

Applications can be returned by mail, e-mail, or fax.  We are currently working on ballot and application drop-off options.  Applications will be due to our office by May 15.  Once processed, the State of Georgia will mail your absentee ballot.  Ballots must be returned to our office by 7pm on May 19, 2020.

Voters who rely on in-person voting will still be able to cast their ballot on the new voting system.  Poll workers will be given resources to maintain clean voting equipment.  Polling locations will be arranged to promote social distancing while you wait to vote.
