Secondary metals recyclers in Glynn County who purchased regulated metal property MUST REGISTER ANNUALLY with the Glynn County Sheriff's Office.
The new state law will require each Sheriff's Office in the state to register secondary metals recyclers doing business in the county, keep a record of each registration and enter the registration information into a statewide database searchable by all law enforcement agencies.
This is intended to curb the rising incidence of metal theft.
Businesses and individuals can obtain a copy of the Secondary Metals Recycler Registration form online by downloading it from the link below, or by visiting the Glynn County Sheriff's Office at 100 Sulphur Springs Rd., Brunswick, GA 31520. There is a $200 annual registration fee.
