About Glynn-Brunswick 911
The Glynn-Brunswick 911 Center (GB-911) provides Public Safety Communication services for the citizens, communities, and public safety responders for Glynn County and the City of Brunswick. As the single-point of contact for all public safety response, GB-911 provides primary call handling and dispatching services for countywide public safety agencies as well as secondary support for the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office. In this call handling task, GB-911 provides the community with the enhanced services of Emergency Medical Dispatching (EMD) in their time of need. Under the direction of the Joint Public Safety Communications Department (JPSCD) Oversight Committee, the Department manages the public safety computer and 800MHz radio systems. Along with management of this system, the Department generates and archives the automated databases of these systems for the agencies serviced by the JPSCD. Lastly, the Department provides customer support and public education as it relates to 9-1-1 and initial contact with all emergency services.
