RECREATION SITE ATTENDANT-SUMMER CAMP

These are seasonal positions and are not eligible for employee benefits. This is an eight-week summer day camp program at Howard Coffin Park. The program will begin June 3, 2013 and end July 26, 2013.

Essential Duties: Provides well-supervised camp venue including structured and varied recreational programs for assigned campers ages 4 - 12. Plans, leads and supervises educational and recreational activities for program participants. Setup and Cleanup of job site(s). Provides care for campers as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

SEASONAL RECREATION SITE ATTENDANT-SELDEN PARK

Receives money in payment of pool admission fees and concessions. Monitors pool admissions for crowd control. Coordinates sale of concession items. Monitors inventory of concession items and orders materials. Calculates concession/ticket sales and prepares daily sales records. Performs cleaning/maintenance tasks as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned. Reports to Senior Lifeguard and Recreation Program Coordinator.

SEASONAL LIFEGUARD-SELDEN PARK

Supervise all areas of the pool. Monitors the safety and welfare of swimmers and other individuals. Monitors all individuals and identifies inappropriate behavior (i.e. excessive noise, disruptive behavior, potential violence or other problems). Coordinates medical/rescue activities with emergency medical personnel. Conducts and/or assists with water rescues. Operates and maintains all issued lifeguard equipment. Performs various maintenance tasks associated with pool and beach facility. Performs other related duties as assigned. Reports to Senior Lifeguard and Recreation Program Coordinator.
